Research carried out at BWH can generate ideas and discoveries that may be commercially useful. These ideas and discoveries, referred to as "inventions", include newly cloned genes, new or improved substances with therapeutic or diagnostic value, new uses for known substances, new devices, instruments, and medical procedures.

Do you have an idea related to your BWH research that you believe is novel and non-obvious to your scientific peers, and has not been made public yet (or was published less than a year ago)? CSRL, together with outside patent counsel, will evaluate the invention for patentability and commercial potential.
